TESMAT Horizon Review: The Most Complete Kit

Six inches of foam-over-air, a wireless USB-C pump and a fitted sheet in the box. The Horizon is the Tesla mattress that arrives ready, not almost-ready.

Most Tesla mattresses arrive as a mattress. The Horizon arrives as a bed: mattress, fitted microfiber sheet, and a wireless pump, in one box. That sounds like marketing until the first night you don't have to hunt for a pump with dying batteries or sleep directly on a technical fabric.

The build

Six inches total: two foam support layers over a 3D-grid air base. The grid keeps the air layer even under load instead of ballooning sideways, and the foam above it does the comfort work. The result sits clearly above pure air beds and just below serious foam — a fair summary of the hybrid category done well, and consistent with what owners report.

The pump detail

The included pump is wireless and USB-C rechargeable, and inflates the Horizon in under a minute. In an EV full of USB-C ports, that's the right power source — although unlike the NovaPads Pro's built-in pump, it is still a separate object you can forget at home. Charge it before you leave.

The price asterisk

TESMAT lists the Horizon at $489 and currently sells it at $339 as a pre-order. That's the best price-to-completeness ratio in the category — with the caveat baked into the word pre-order. If your trip has a date, confirm the shipping window first.

Fifth in our Tesla mattress ranking, and the pick we'd hand to someone who wants one box to solve the whole sleeping question. TESMAT's own $139.99 Solo covers the opposite brief: minimum kit, minimum price.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 3D-grid air base do?
It's the structural layer: an air chamber with internal gridding that keeps the surface even under load instead of ballooning where weight isn't. The dual foam layers above it handle comfort. You get most of a foam mattress's feel at a fraction of its packed size.
